Dear LCA Community, We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Kyle Hankins as the new Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Lighthouse Christian Academy. Along with this role he will step into an Assistant AD role for the 2025-2026 school year. Coach Hankins brings a wealth of experience and a passion for fostering excellence both on and off the court. With an impressive coaching background that includes roles at Brescia University, Kentucky Wesleyan College, Centre College, East Central University, Southwestern Christian University and Oklahoma Baptist University he has developed a deep understanding of the game and a proven ability to guide athletes to success. A Bloomington native and former standout player at Bloomington High School South and was awarded the honor of 2001 Indiana All Star. After high school he went on to Morehead State University to continue his playing career where he played all four years. He played on the 2003 Ohio Valley Conference Championship team, the first time for the team in over 25 years. Coach Hankins is committed to nurturing our student-athletes, not just as players, but as young men of character and integrity. Coach Hankins’ philosophy emphasizes teamwork, personal growth, and respect— values that align perfectly with our mission at Lighthouse Christian Academy. We are confident that his leadership will inspire our athletes to excel both in competition and in life. Please join us in welcoming Coach Hankins to the LCA family!
